Just a quick check-in today.
I’m working on a few research projects this week and am kind of stuck.
Sometimes when I’m stuck, it’s because I’m questioning where I’m at with a project. Am I answering my client’s questions? Is this what they are needing or looking for? Am I thinking about this in the right way?
Many times, it’s not the work product I’m questioning, but more so, me.
Insert those famous Taylor Swift lyrics here, right?! (“It’s me, hey, I’m the problem, it’s me.”)
Sometimes, I can get caught up in this for a few days at a time.
This is the time when I most need to re-look at the resources I’ve gathered for a project and re-read them, re-view them, and re-assure myself that yes, this IS answering my client’s questions. It IS giving them what they need to answer their own business questions. I AM headed in the right direction.
If you are stuck this week, you are not alone! We all get stuck, for sure.
For me, I’m taking a step back, re-viewing what I know about my client’s business. Re-reading some of my sources of information. Taking a 10,000-foot re-view. And, importantly, moving forward and right on through.
If you are stuck and working through the 4-step Find Your Wedge framework, I encourage you to re-view what you’ve already done, (take a deep breath), and keep moving forward!

Stay tuned,
